What is Via-Rail?

Via Rail is operated all over Canada by Canadian Government since 1977  from Atlantic to Pacific and from great lakes to Hudson Bay. It has 503 trains running per week that coves 12500km of track serving 4.5 million passenger per year. Via Rail has more than 3000 employees working for them and its headquatered is located at Ville Marie in Montreal, Quebec.

Customer Service


Via Rail offers a variety of experiences to please its custmers whether they are young or old, travelling for business or pleasure, or travelling alone, as a couple, or as part of a group. It also provides packages for wine lover, nature lovers, sports enthusiasts and those who are wishing to relax at spa. While on board, passengers can enjoy wine tasting and gaming lessions. Coach cars and washrooms are combined with two existing sleepers spaces into a single enlarged bedroom with a suit bedroom. Via is developing more visible and standardized signage, tactile and Braille signage and reconfigured seating areas in stations all to meet the needs of visually impaired travellers.
